Italic for children
Let’s give them the best
I talic was taught to Alan, who wrote this, like all other children at the Staplehurst Primary School. Should children learn to write classical italic with a broad-edge pen? It's great when it works, and a mess when it doesn't.
Mastering the letterforms is hard enough. Children shouldn’t have to cope with a broad-edge pen at the same time. Most of them will use ballpoints in real life anyway.
